I'm a livestock extension agent who's trying to learn ostrich production to be able to assist my new local producers here in North Carolina. One producer needs to know if he can utilize corn gluten meal (dried) as a substitute for corn.He seems to think he can drastically reduce the amount of alfalfa he needs to feed by using this.I question the dry matter he'll get with that and also if ostriches will eat enough of the powder or if they can eat it at all.If you have any experience with this one please let me know. Thanks in advance, this is a new area for me.
