In a rhea farm there is a consistent problem inyoung rheas, they start with bone deformities and then there are spontaneous fractures.Upon X rays you can see bones are very thin and calcification is very defficient. They have received different diets and currently they are receiving a broiler chicken diet with supplementation with calcium and minerals.Upon histopathology, there are severe lesions in the intestine, with necrotic enteritis.THe pathologists suppose it is due to a clostridium, wich may be caused by some inmunodefficient state provoked by a Virus (??).This intestinal problem would be causing the malabsortion. We are totally confused, if any body has any experience in a situation similar to this one we would very much appreciate their opinion. Thanks
